4 legged friends
Well its now on to koomps and marks. Both doggies are doing great, considering Koompa is 13 and Marky is 12. The girls love both dogs, and well, love to feed both dogs, so they are not lacking in that department either. Koompa is pretty much deaf, and but she still loves a good squirrel chase. To be fair it would be nice if she could chase an elderly squirrel. Marky still loves to stick her butt in your face, to show her love. So that saying, "the more things change, the more they stay the same" really is true. Right now both dogsters are sleeping. Koompa sleeps oh about 20 hours a day now, and marky about 16. marky seems to be awake more hour than koompa. these numbers are plus or minus about 6 hours. Happy new years eve! The doggies want to ring in the new year with a nice walk and some meatballs.

The Big Sister
So yesterday we started up again sharing a few stories about frankie. Today we will share a few stories about Bee. Now what an excellent big sister she is. When the girls got up yesterday, we went in their room and Bee had gotten the Dora game out and was playing it with Frankie. She kept explaining how to play the game to Frankie, and when we asked if we could play, she said, "no thank you, Im showing frankie how to play." They probably would have played their all morning, except cream of wheats were waiting for them downstairs.
You can tell Bee is a girl of the 21st century. The other day when we were playing and looking at birds, do you know what she wanted to do? Go back to the computer to look up bird sounds in order to listen to them. She can google as good as the best of us!
She is also loves sports. Its kinda cold here (its mich-again after all!), and so she have taken up running loops around the living room furniture as fast as she can. its her little private track almost. She will do 100 loops if we let her. But when we take her running in the jog stroller she will want to get out and run, and she can run a good half mile without stopping. Well once she ran from grand river ave all the way to red cedar river without stopping and this just about a half mile.
And, she loves to be a pretty girl, and wear pink, tights, and dance. We're not sure where she got this from, but its cute just the same.
And tomorrow onto the dogs, maybe. We will say this, Marky is still our mark-a-bark!

Getting going again
OK, we will try to post more here... not that anyone but us reads it... but at least we can keep up with stories about the girlies.
Frankie is so funny. She had surgery last week to repair her tear duct (she was born with it fully blocked). And, ever since, she has been a different kid. She is generally a happy girl, but she is just really happy now, and outgoing, and just downright funny. Maybe its a developmental milestone that just happened to coincide with her surgery, or maybe it was the surgery. Maybe we will never know. But, we do have a happy kid on our hands.
Frankie has just about all grown up. She is now saying her first short sentences. She said this morning after finishing her cream of wheat, "Frankie did it!" and put her hands over her head. Then she noticed, on her own, that Bee finished her cream of wheat too, and then screamed, Bee did it! That probably sounds sort of stupid, but it was funny this morning, and she just kept right on talking.
The other funny thing she did today was when Bee was throwing out all of the toys from the toy box so she could climb into it. She threw out a Charlie Brown stuffed doll that was about 12" high. Frankie came running over and said Calliou!! Calliou!! She thought that CB was Calliou and then carried him around all afternoon, caring for him. Changing his diaper and helping him take a nap. it was very cute.
Tomorrow we can catch up on Bee and then we can try to keep up on this blog.
By the way, Koompa does still rock. She is a good doggie, completely deaf though.
